It Doesn't Cost Anything to be Nice | Ep. 8
Description
In this episode, our guest Mikko, shares with us his experience in becoming a new father during the COVID-19 pandemic in Vancouver, BC. We also discuss topics on the struggles faced by POCs today, and the identity crisis experienced by many Filipino immigrant teenagers trying to "fit in" in a new society.
Many points discussed in this episode really hit home for me as I have experienced them personally and I know people who are close to me who have had similar experiences. We barely scratch the surface in this episode because there are many more struggles that Filipino immigrant teenagers face from not only adjusting to a foreign culture, but to also finding a sense of belonging within their own community.
Can you relate to what Mikko and I talked about in this episode? Share this episode with your friends, and if you're comfortable, let us know what other struggles that you encountered as you adjusted to a new society.
Happy listening and always remember that "it doesn't cost anything to be nice".
